12 Hour Property and Casualty Insurance CE Package - Georgia (Designation Holders)
β Approved by the Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire | Provider #243388 | Includes 4 Approved Courses | All 12 Hours | Only $29.99 | Instant Emailed Certificate | 100% Online & Self-Paced
If you hold an approved professional designation, Georgia reduces your continuing education to 12 hours instead of 24 β and this package is built to that exact number. All 12 hours, including the 3 ethics hours Georgia requires every period, for $29.99. Every course is approved by the Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire under provider #243388.
All four courses are 100% online and self-paced. Log in and out as often as you like without losing your place, and your certificate is emailed as soon as you complete each one. 1st Choice CE reports your completions to Georgia, normally within 24 hours. One thing to check first: the designation reduction only applies once the office has proof of your designation on file. Call or text 1-800-698-2770 if you are not sure where you stand.
β Before You Buy β the Reduction Is Not Automatic
The designation reduction is not automatic. Georgia applies the 20-year reduction by itself, but the designation reduction only takes effect once you submit proof of the designation to the Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire. If you buy 12 hours and the office has no proof on file, your record still shows a 24-hour requirement and you will be 12 hours short at renewal. Submit the proof first, or at least confirm the hours your Sircon transcript is asking for, before you rely on this package.

Total: 12 credit hours β 3 hours ethics and 9 hours of property and casualty continuing education credit. Bought separately these 4 courses would cost $57.96, so the package saves $27.97.
β Who Should Take This Package?
- Georgia resident property and casualty producers holding CPCU, CLU, FLMI, CIC, CEBS, ChFC, AAI, CFP, or a major BBA in Risk Management and Insurance
- Designation holders whose Sircon transcript already shows a 12-hour requirement
- CPCU, CIC and AAI holders writing personal or commercial property and casualty business
- Agency principals and producers who earned a designation and never claimed the reduction
- Producers who have submitted designation proof to the office and want the exact reduced requirement
- Designation holders renewing a Georgia producer license for a new two-year period
β Does This Package Satisfy the State Requirement?
This package is designed to provide all 12 credit hours Georgia requires of a licensee holding an approved professional designation, and to cover the ethics mandate inside that total.
- The 3 Hour Ethics for Insurance Agents course is designed to satisfy Georgia's 3-hour ethics requirement, which applies in every renewal period regardless of which hour tier you are in.
- The remaining 9 hours come from three approved property and casualty courses that count as general continuing education credit.
- Together they total exactly 12 hours β the full reduced requirement for a designation holder, with nothing left over.
What it does not do is establish the reduction.
If you are in the 24-hour tier, or in the 20-hour tier for more than 20 years of service, this package leaves you short. The 24-hour and 20-hour Georgia packages are listed further down this page.
β Georgia Continuing Education Requirements
Georgia continuing education is set by the Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire and is completed biennially, on or before the last day of your birth month. The total depends on how long you have held your license.
- Less than 20 years of service: 24 hours, 3 of them ethics
- More than 20 years of service: 20 hours, 3 of them ethics β an automatic 4.0-hour reduction that began in 2026
- Approved professional designation: 12 hours, 3 of them ethics, with proof submitted to the office
- Credit insurance only: 10 hours self-study, no ethics requirement
- Limited subagent only: 10 hours, no ethics requirement
- Workers' compensation adjuster only: 20 hours through the Workers' Compensation Board, no ethics requirement
- Renewal cycle: Biennially, on or before the last day of your birth month
- Carryover: Excess credit carries forward, capped at 50% of the biennial requirement
- Ethics carryover: Ethics must be completed every period β excess ethics hours carry forward but cannot satisfy the next period's ethics requirement
- Repeat courses: No credit for the same course taken more than once in the same reporting period
The 20-year reduction is applied automatically, so there is nothing to file for it. The designation reduction is different β a licensee holding CPCU, CLU, FLMI, CIC, CEBS, ChFC, AAI, CFP or a major BBA in Risk Management and Insurance drops to 12 hours, but must submit proof to the office. Reductions and exemptions for insurance-related activities such as teaching, legislative work, journalism or research are requested through Sircon's Additional State Service Requests, on or before the CE filing deadline. A licensee on non-active status is exempt while non-active, provided the license is renewed on time. Your continuing education transcript is at Sircon.com/georgia.
How this package helps: This package provides all 12 credit hours Georgia requires of a licensee holding an approved professional designation, including the 3 ethics hours. For a property and casualty producer in that tier it is designed to complete the full requirement. It does not cover a licensee in the 20-hour or 24-hour tier, and it does not establish the reduction β only proof submitted to the office does that.
β When Do Licensees Renew?
Georgia producer licenses renew biennially, on or before the last day of your birth month. The continuing education has to be complete by that same date, so your deadline is personal to you rather than a statewide date.
Before you buy a reduced-hour package, open your transcript at Sircon.com/georgia and read the number Georgia is actually asking you for. The 20-year reduction appears there by itself. The designation reduction does not β it appears only after you have sent the office proof of the designation. A transcript still showing 24 means the office has not applied the reduction yet.
Finishing early is not wasted. Georgia lets you carry excess credit forward into the next filing period, up to 50% of the biennial requirement. Ethics is the exception β it must be completed every period, and surplus ethics hours carry over only as general credit.
β How to Renew Your Georgia Producer License
- Step 1: Submit proof of your designation, if you have not already
The reduction to 12 hours takes effect only once the Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire has proof of your CPCU, CLU, FLMI, CIC, CEBS, ChFC, AAI, CFP designation or qualifying degree on file. This is the step licensees skip. - Step 2: Confirm the hours on your own record
Open your transcript at Sircon.com/georgia and check whether Georgia is asking for 12, 20 or 24 hours. Do not assume the reduction has been applied. - Step 3: Check your license expiration date
Georgia renews biennially on or before the last day of your birth month. Confirm the exact date and your license status on your own record. - Step 4: Complete all 12 hours, including the 3 ethics hours
Ethics must be completed every renewal period and cannot be satisfied with hours carried forward from the previous one. - Step 5: Allow time for the completion to post
1st Choice CE reports your completions to Georgia. Credits appear on your Sircon transcript after the state processes them, so do not leave the last course for the final day. - Step 6: Verify the hours on your transcript
Check that all 12 hours show, and that the ethics hours posted in the ethics category rather than as general credit. - Step 7: Renew the license and pay the state fee
Follow the renewal notice from the Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire and complete the renewal through the method it names. - Step 8: Confirm the renewed license
After submitting, check that your license shows an active status with the new expiration date before you treat the renewal as finished.

β Frequently Asked Questions
Is this package approved by the Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance?
Yes. Every course in the package is a separately approved Georgia continuing education course under provider #243388.
Which designations qualify for the 12-hour requirement?
Georgia lists CPCU, CLU, FLMI, CIC, CEBS, ChFC, AAI, CFP, or a major BBA in Risk Management and Insurance.
Do I have to do anything to get the reduction?
Yes, and this is the part licensees miss. Unlike the 20-year reduction, which Georgia applies automatically, the designation reduction takes effect only after you submit proof of the designation to the office.
How do I know the reduction has been applied?
Your transcript at Sircon.com/georgia will show the number of hours Georgia is asking you for. If it still shows 24, the reduction has not been applied and this package will leave you short.
What if I buy this and the reduction was never applied?
You would hold 12 approved hours against a 24-hour requirement and be 12 short. The hours are not wasted β they count β but you would need to complete the rest before your deadline. Check your transcript first, and call or text us at 1-800-698-2770 if it is not clear.
Why these four courses?
Twelve hours only works as 3 ethics plus 9, and on the property and casualty side 9 comes out cleanly as three 3-hour courses. We chose Flood, Emerging Risks and Insurance Fraud because they are the three most broadly useful across personal and commercial books. If you would rather swap one for Inland Marine or Workers Compensation, call or text us.
I am a workers' compensation adjuster. Is this package for me?
No. Workers' compensation adjusters complete 20 hours through the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation, with no ethics requirement. That is a separate program from producer continuing education and this package does not satisfy it.
Does this package include the required ethics hours?
Yes. The 3 Hour Ethics for Insurance Agents course is designed to satisfy Georgia's 3-hour ethics requirement, which applies in every tier.
Can I use carried-forward hours for the ethics requirement?
No. Georgia requires ethics to be completed every renewal period. Surplus ethics hours carry forward but count only as general credit in the next period.
Is the package online and self-paced?
Yes. Every course is 100% online and self-paced, with no classroom attendance and no scheduled sessions.
Can I log out and come back later?
Yes. You can log in and out as often as you like and your progress is saved.
When do I get my certificate?
Your certificate is emailed to you immediately when you complete each course.
Who reports my completion to Georgia?
1st Choice CE reports your completions to Georgia, normally within 24 hours. You should still confirm the hours appear on your Sircon transcript.
Do extra hours go to waste?
No. Georgia lets you carry excess credit forward to the next filing period, capped at 50% of the biennial requirement.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. If the package is not what you needed, contact us by phone or text at 1-800-698-2770.
