Pros who want a single, streamlined 8-hour CE option for renewal
Total CE typically needed: Many Georgia conditioned air licensees complete 8 hours every renewal cycle.
Renewal timing: Renew before your printed license expiration date (timelines vary by credential—confirm in your state account).
Course format: 100% online, self-paced, and no tests.
Records: You’ll receive an instant certificate for your files (keep it for audit).
If you prefer shorter segments, you can take 4-Hour HVAC Part 1 and 4-Hour HVAC Part 2 instead—same content, split format.
Step 1 – Confirm Your Renewal Requirements
Check your Georgia renewal cycle and make sure you have the required continuing education for your license type. For Georgia HVAC licensees, the board refers to this as the Conditioned Air Contractor license. Georgia conditioned air contractors must complete 4 hours of continuing education per year, for a total of 8 hours per renewal, unless an exemption applies.
Step 2 – Complete Your CE Online
Finish your Georgia HVAC continuing education course online. Your progress can be saved so you can log in and out as needed while completing your hours.
Step 3 – Download and Save Your Certificate
After you complete the course, download your certificate of completion and keep it with your records. Georgia conditioned air contractors must maintain records confirming attendance and satisfactory completion for at least five years after the course is completed.
Step 4 – Report Your CE in CE Broker
As of January 1, 2026, Georgia licensees who are required to complete continuing education for renewal must register and report their continuing education into CE Broker and record all CE taken in their CE Broker account. The Georgia Secretary of State also strongly encourages licensees to load all CE activities and certificates before applying to renew.
Step 5 – Submit Your Renewal Application
Complete your renewal through Georgia’s online licensing system. For conditioned air contractors, renewal must be completed by November 30 of odd-numbered years, and a late renewal period runs from December 1 through December 31 of odd-numbered years.
Important Note: Georgia HVAC licensees must report on the renewal application whether all applicable continuing education requirements have been met, keep continuing education records for at least five years, and provide those records to the division if requested. As of January 1, 2026, licensees required to complete CE for renewal must also register and report their continuing education into CE Broker and record all CE taken in their CE Broker account.
