FDACS will not renew a Chapter 482 certificate until the holder completes approved continuing education (or, for operators, passes the department's examination):

• Online CE from FDACS-approved programs counts: 1 CEU equals 50 minutes, and the exam needs at least 15 questions with 75% to pass.

✅ When Do Florida Pest Control Licensees Renew?

An operator certificate expires one year after issuance and renews on or before that anniversary each year; adding a category later does not change the date. A grace period of up to 30 days follows, then a $50 late charge is added, and after 60 days recertification requires passing the examination again.

A Limited Lawn & Ornamental (LL) certificate expires four years after issuance and is recertified with proof of 4 classroom hours of CE. Finish your CE before the anniversary, not during the grace period.
