✅ Arizona Continuing Education Requirements

Arizona resident insurance producers complete continuing education on a four-year license period rather than the two-year cycle used by most states. For any license period beginning on or after January 1, 2014, the requirement is at least 48 credit hours, and at least 6 of those hours must be ethics training.

A few rules make Arizona different from most states, and they are worth understanding before you buy anything:

• At least 48 total credit hours per four-year license period
• At least 6 of the 48 hours must be ethics training — a separate subject requirement, not general credit
• No carryover. Excess credits do not carry over to the next license term, and credits may only be applied to one license period
• A course may only be counted once per term, even if retaken. Taking the same approved course twice in one term earns the credit once
