How To Renew Your License in North Carolina

In order to renew their license, the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners requires licensees to meet the following Continuing Education Criteria:

• Cosmetologist - 8 hrs per year, renewal every 3 years for a total of 24 hours
• Esthetician - 8 hrs per year, renewal every year
• Manicurist - 8 hrs per year, renewal every year
• Teacher - 8 hrs per year, renewal every 2 years for a total of 16 hours
