Connecticut also carries three separate product-training gates that sit outside the general 24. Selling Partnership long-term care products requires the one-time Long-Term Care Partnership training. Selling annuities requires a state-approved 4-hour annuity suitability course. And as of 15 April 2026 newly licensed Property & Casualty and Personal Lines producers must complete a one-time 3-hour NFIP flood course. Nonresident producers, adjusters, and licensees holding only credit, travel accident or surety bail bond authority are exempt from the 24-hour requirement.

Connecticut producer licences renew every two years, by the last day of your birth month. The cycle is tied to your birthday rather than to a fixed statewide date, so two producers in the same agency can have different deadlines.
