Oregon journeyman plumbers generally need 24 hours of approved continuing education during each three-year license cycle. That total includes 4 hours of code change and a separate 4-hour Oregon Rule and Law course (OAR 918-030-0120). Newly licensed plumbers may have a reduced, prorated requirement, and water treatment installer and water heater installer licenses are exempt from CE.
